The Family Friendly Workplace (FFWP) group was established by the Calgary Children’s Initiative (CCI) in 2002 and supports on-going research and pilot programs that are focused on strengthening the workplace and family relationship including: • Work/family business case (2001) • Qualitative research report on family friendly workplaces (2003) • The three year pilot of a social marketing pilot program called ‘Kidvestment’, designed to increase awareness of the importance of working parents investing quality time with children and youth • Maintenance of best practices and leading resources on work/family topics The FFWP group is currently evaluating their work over the past several years and is developing a strategic transition plan for 2007.
